(512) 240-2633Frisco has been the fastest-growing city in America for years, and almost every family that lives here moved here for the schools, the safety, and the pace. But growth has its own psychological footprint — new-to-school transitions, friendships that haven't formed yet, parents working long hours, and kids feeling pressure to keep up in one of the most ambitious zip codes in the country.
Little Dove Psychology specializes in supporting Frisco kids and teens through these transitions and the anxiety that often comes with them — without the long waitlists most local therapists have. Dr. Kristin Kroll, PhD, a licensed psychologist and former academic medicine professor, provides virtual therapy from the comfort of your home.
Many Frisco families are relocating here for work or schools and arrive with kids who are quietly grieving old friendships, navigating new social hierarchies, or trying to keep up academically in a top-tier district. The kids who look the most adjusted are often the ones holding it together hardest.
We help Frisco kids and teens work through anxiety, depression, ADHD, behavioral challenges, and adjustment to medical conditions. Our evidence-based approach uses cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) — the gold standard for childhood anxiety — tailored to each child’s developmental stage and unique needs. Whether your child is 5 or 17, we meet them where they are.
Parenting in the DFW metroplex is demanding. Between managing school schedules, activities, and the pressures of daily life, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. Our dedicated parent therapy helps you manage stress, prevent burnout, and build the skills you need to support your family’s mental health — all from the comfort of your Frisco home.
A rare specialty. Dr. Kroll trained as a pediatric psychologist at Children's Wisconsin and served as Assistant Professor of Pediatric Cardiology at the Medical College of Wisconsin. She works with families navigating chronic illness, new diagnoses, medical trauma, procedural anxiety (needles, scans, bloodwork), treatment adherence, and the emotional impact of being the "sick kid." Most therapists haven't worked inside a hospital. She has — and that training changes everything. Learn more about health psychology services →

If you’re new to online therapy, here’s how it works:
Yes. Multiple peer-reviewed studies show that virtual cognitive behavioral therapy is as effective as in-person therapy for childhood anxiety, ADHD management, and behavioral concerns. Many children actually engage better in virtual sessions because they’re in a familiar, comfortable environment.
We are a fee-for-service and membership-based practice. We do not bill insurance directly, but we can provide superbills for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Many Dallas families find this approach gives them faster access to care without the limitations of insurance panels.
If your child’s worry, behavior, or emotions are interfering with school, friendships, sleep, or family life — and it’s been going on for more than a couple of weeks — it’s worth having a conversation with a professional. Our free 15-minute consultation is designed exactly for this: to help you figure out whether therapy is the right next step.
No. As a psychologist, Dr. Kroll provides therapy, not medication management. If medication is something your family is considering, she can coordinate with your child’s pediatrician or a psychiatrist in the Dallas area to ensure a comprehensive approach.
We work with children, adolescents, and parents. Most of our clients are families with children ages 5–17, but we also provide dedicated therapy for parents and caregivers at any stage.
Yes. We see clients attending Frisco ISD high schools, middle schools, and elementary schools throughout the district. We understand how fast Frisco schools have grown and the unique pressures kids face navigating both expansion and the high-achievement culture. With your written consent, we can coordinate with school counselors on 504 plans, accommodations, or school-related stress.
