Little Dove Psychology is in network with Optum (UnitedHealthcare) for virtual therapy and psychological testing for children, teens, and college students in Texas. Both therapy sessions and comprehensive ADHD, autism, and dyslexia evaluations are billed to your plan, so you pay your copay or cost share rather than our self-pay rate. Most families have a first therapy session the same week they reach out, an average of 5 days from first contact, and evaluations are typically scheduled within one week. Every family starts with a free 15-minute consultation with Dr. Kristin Kroll, the practice founder.
What Optum (UnitedHealthcare) covers at Little Dove
- Therapy for children, teens, college students, and parents: anxiety, depression, emotion regulation, school refusal, family conflict, and major transitions. Sessions with a licensed psychologist or a licensed psychological associate are billed to Optum (UnitedHealthcare), and you pay your plan’s copay or cost share.
- Psychological and neuropsychological testing for Texas clients ages 6 through 55: comprehensive ADHD, autism, dyslexia and reading, combined ADHD and autism, and full neurodevelopmental evaluations. Each evaluation includes testing, scoring, record review, interpretation, a written report, and a live feedback session, with no separate hourly charges added afterward.
- Free 15-minute consultation. No charge, and nothing is billed until you decide to move forward.
Which plans are included
Our Optum contract is UnitedHealthcare’s behavioral health contract, so it covers most United-family plans: UnitedHealthcare, UMR, All Savers, Surest (formerly Bind), Golden Rule, UnitedHealthcare StudentResources, and Oscar Health. If you are unsure which entity administers your plan, read us the payer name on your card during the free consultation.
Not every clinician is in network with every plan. When you call, we match you with a clinician your plan covers and confirm the details before anything is scheduled.
How it works
- Book the free consultation. Fifteen minutes with Dr. Kroll, who speaks with every family herself. You describe what is going on and she tells you honestly whether we are a good match.
- We verify your benefits. We check your Optum and UnitedHealthcare coverage and give you an expected cost before anyone is scheduled. For evaluations, we also handle any prior authorization your plan requires.
- Start the same week. Most families have a first therapy session within days, with evening and weekend appointments available. Evaluations are typically scheduled within one week.
Where coverage applies
Therapy is available across Texas and the other PSYPACT participating states, so a college student on a parent’s Texas plan is usually still in network while away at school. Evaluations are Texas only: psychological testing requires Texas licensure, is not covered by PSYPACT, and is available to clients located in Texas at the time of the appointment.
If you are not sure what your plan covers
Read us the payer name and plan name on your insurance card during the consultation. We verify coverage for you and tell you the expected cost in plain numbers before you commit to anything.
