Little Dove Psychology is scheduling new evaluations now. Appointments are typically available within one week of your first call, there is no waitlist, and we test ages 6 through 55. Evaluations are for clients located in Texas. Every family starts with a free 15-minute consultation, and evening and weekend times are available.
Why the wait everywhere else is so long
Families who call us have usually been quoted months. That is not their imagination. In a national survey of autism specialty centers, 61% reported waits longer than four months and 15% were past a year or had closed their waitlists entirely. Pediatric ADHD evaluation waits run similarly.
A virtual practice works differently. There is no central intake queue and no testing room to schedule around. When a family calls and our neuropsychologist has room, we can usually start within the week.

Evaluations are HSA and FSA eligible. We are in network with Aetna, UnitedHealthcare, Optum, and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas, and for members of those plans the clinical portion may be billed to insurance. For self-pay families we provide a superbill for possible out-of-network reimbursement. All fees are confirmed on the free consultation call before you commit to anything.
What every evaluation includes
- A diagnostic interview.
- Standardized rating scales completed by the people who know the client well. For a child that is parents and teachers. For an adult it is the client and, where possible, someone who has known them a long time.
- Objective, performance-based testing, so the conclusion rests on direct data rather than questionnaires.
- Screening for the conditions that mimic the referral question, including anxiety, depression, and sleep problems.
- A written report, delivered about two to three weeks after the final testing session.
- A live feedback session, with Dr. Sippio available by phone afterward to talk through any case she has evaluated.
What a virtual evaluation cannot include
We tell every family this before they pay anything. A complete cognitive battery with a Full Scale IQ is not available in the current virtual model, because some measures, processing speed in particular, need an in-person component. The same applies to broader learning disorder assessment in written expression and mathematics. If you need documentation for a high-stakes professional or graduate exam, those bodies usually want the full cognitive battery, so raise it on the consultation call and we will tell you honestly whether we are the right fit.
We also do not evaluate children under 6. Virtual testing tools are not validated for that age, and we will point you toward an appropriate developmental evaluation instead.
Who does the testing
Evaluations are conducted by Dr. Kiersten Sippio, PsyD, a neuropsychologist who completed a two-year postdoctoral residency in neuropsychology.
